The cruising starts in northern New Mexico in the City Different, the City of Holy Faith, a place that I consider my
 home -

you met our Lizzie in the opening pages, but let me offer a few words about the bicycle graphics that appear throughout the website. and that I will refer to as Conch Cruisers.  Conch Cruisers are comfortable but mostly rusty and beat up bikes used by the citizens of Key West, the Conch Republic, to get around their island paradise... like those bikes, these Electronic Conch Cruisers of ours link us to homes all over the world... and can take us to places that we have yet to explore.

yes, this journey is about homes...

if we ignore the standard definitions for a moment, there are many places that we might categorize or call home... we are linked to these homes by people whom we hold dear today and by others that we hope to meet tomorrow, by memories of adventures past and dreams of the adventures to come, by realities and fantasies.
